Shipping & Returns

Please note:

With the current global COVID situation, local lockdowns and restrictions in many countries and the additional pressure on the postal system with pre-christmas orders, it is very likely that there will be delays in deliveries on top of the usual estimated delivery times. 

Shipments to the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are now possible again, but due to limited capacity, parcels will be shipped fully or partially bsea and shipments will take about 30-45 days (but can take longer). But maybe it's a nice thought that your book will take an adventurous sea voyage to make its way to you... :)

If you want to be sure, where your parcel is and when it will arrive, please choose Tracked Shipping (but please note that this will NOT speed up the delivery). Please check average shipping times below.

Alternatively, you can purchase any of our books as a digital version that is available for your to download immediately after purchase.

We ship items within 3 business days of receiving the order.

We ship worldwide from Berlin, Germany with Deutsche Post/DHL. Shipping times depend on your location. 

Germany

  • For shipments within Germany, we use Büchersendung / Warensendung (without tracking).
  • Shipping cost is calculated during based on the weight of the order.
  • Büchersendung / Warensendung within Germany usually take 2-5 business days.

Europe

  • For shipments to countries within Europe, you can choose between standard shipping without tracking and tracked shipping.
  • Shipping cost is calculated during based on the weight of the order.
  • Shipments within Europe usually take 5-10 business days. Please note that Tracked Shipping will NOT speed up the delivery

    Rest of the world 

    • For shipments to countries outside of Europe, we use tracked shipping.
    • Shipments outside of Europe usually take 8-10 business days, but may take up to 15-20 business days for some regions.
    • For shipments to countries outside the EU customs/duties and import sales tax costs may be incurred.

    If something goes wrong

    Should your items get lost in the post or should they arrive damaged, we are happy to re-send the item or refund your order.

    For lost items, we offer to refund your order if it hasn't arrived within 30 calendar days after sending the package.

    We will cover the cost of re-sending your order:

    • If your order arrived damaged.
    • If an item was received in error.
    • If your package was lost in the mail.

    We ask you to cover the cost of re-sending your order:

    • If you provided an incorrect shipping address at checkout.
    • If you missed the shipment and you didn't pick it up from the post office in time
    If your item has not arrived within the stated shipping times or if your items have been damaged in the post, please send us an email to shop@evalotta.shop with the date of your order and the email-address you used for ordering.
    If your items have arrived damaged, please also take a photo of the damaged items and packaging and attach it to your email.

    If you don't like the item

    It's important to us that you are happy with your order. If you don't like an item, you can return it to us within 14 days of receiving your order. Digital downloads and items bought at a reduced price are exempt from being returned.

    If you want to return an item please send us an email to shop@evalotta.shop to let us know  and we will send you instructions how to return the item.

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping items over 50€, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

    The item you return must be unused, undamaged and in its original condition for us to accept the return and give a refund.

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

    If your return is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. We only refund the value of the item(s) in the order, but not the initial shipping cost.
